Meet the Founders
Mariam and Samuel Lambert have founded the Dutch charitable organization Orphans Feeding Foundation after their first trip to an orphanage in Luanda, Western Kenya, in 2011.
There, Mariam was providing classes to the children while Samuel was building the foundations of a new school on an empty field. During this trip, they decided to set up the foundation to support the community as best they could.
Shortly after, the foundation was supporting 3 orphanages in the region with daily food programs, a fully built school and regular medical checks. Since then, their fight for fairness and support of the vulnerable continued to grow with initiatives across the globe, supporting orphans in Nepal, Morocco, Romania, Belgium and the Netherlands.
They were in the process of building another school in Zanzibar when the full-scale invasion of Ukraine started on February 24th, 2022. This is when they decided to switch all their activities, resources and time to Ukraine.
Equal Opportunity
We believe that all children should be given the opportunity to learn and grow equally, regardless of their background, family situation or geopolitical environment. We strive to provide access to food, education and medicine to the children and vulnerable people in the regions we work. We make a point of running our activities in person, as we believe everyone deserves attention and support, even in the most remote or difficult areas.
Supporting vulnerable communities
Our mission is to support orphans and vulnerable people globally, basing our activities on 5 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our main objectives are to support orphans and vulnerable children with regard to education, nutrition and health. By extrapolation, it also supports the right for basic healthcare for vulnerable populations and the fight against poverty and injustice in general. We help communities fight poverty as well as corruption, too often present with local charities, and we offer volunteers and donors a chance to contribute for the greater good without all the administrative (and financial) overhead. Whatever is donated benefits directly the children and vulnerable our various projects support.
