Evacuations from Frontline Villages

Help Us Save Lives

Thanks to our dedicated local Ukrainian partners, we have successfully evacuated more than 34,600 civilians since the full-scale invasion from frontline areas of active shelling, known as “red zones,” in the regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy. Our ground team has also managed to evacuate an additional 1,500+ civilians from the Temporarily Occupied Territories, including Donetsk and Crimea.

Our Mission

Even though authorities conduct mandatory evacuation operations, not all civilians can leave their villages at those times. That’s where we step in, offering safe evacuation to more secure locations in the western part of Ukraine. These areas are away from the active hostilities resulting from the intense daily military combat actions between the defending Ukrainian armed forces and the invading Russian forces in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.

Need for Evacuation

Every week, our operations center in Kyiv and Kharkiv receives over 100 new evacuation requests from civilians trapped near active military zones. During our regular humanitarian missions to frontline villages, we encounter many families who, for various reasons, were unable to participate in previous evacuation efforts. Among them, many children are still vulnerable to potential abduction by the Russian army.
